In 1995 the Lone Peak Dopplemayr Tram began transporting the daring to Lone Mountain’s 11,166 summit.

The 15-person tram, shaped like a large soup can, carries the brave up and out onto advanced, expert, and extreme terrain, including south facing skiing, described by expert skiers and snowboarders as European-like, open-face skiing and snowboarding, with couloirs extreme pitches, and chutes upwards of 50 degrees above Big Ski Resort. During the summer, get longer drives golfing at 6500’ below the magnificent natural beauty of the area on the Big Sky golf course is an 18-hole, par 72, Arnold Palmer-designed course, which follows the wildlife-laden banks of the Gallatin River’s West Fork.
